Mountainview Costa Rica

In beach-areas in Costa Rica many people are looking for oceanview lots and properties. Especially newcomers want often oceanview properties. For many of these buyers it is as if mountainview is somehow inferior and a second best option. Strange enough, people who live longer periods in beach-areas, seem to have less and less the need for oceanview. We encountered many people who lived a long time in a Costarican beach-area that sold their oceanview property and bought mountainview property. Not because they like the mountainview property so much more then the oceanview. But simply because mountainview property is also nice and it’s a lot cheaper.

Obviously, when you have seen the ocean many times for many years, the aspect of oceanview gets less important. Then the privacy of a lot might be of more interest. Also the relatively high price of the oceanview-property is a reason to look for mountainview property. When you can buy a mountainview property that’s really big for the same price as an oceanview property that’s much smaller, you might consider to buy mountainview property.

Another advantage of mountainview property is that its often located on a hill, on a little bit higher altitude. In the evening there is then often a breeze which brings down the temperature a bit. This is in a relatively hot climate like in for example Guanacaste a nice advantage.
